YS6180G, a 18 meter BRT articulated bus, which is co- developed by Alfa Bus and Scania, boasts the following characteristics:
1. Environmental Protection: DC9-18 Scania engine is mounted upright in the chassis and complies with Euro IV emission regulations, which is 9 litre, five (5) cylinder in line 4 stroke, turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine, and initially introduced in China. The automobile emission refers to CO、HC+NOx、PM and other harmful gases from exhaust gases. Thus Euro IV is much better than Euro III in emission reduction.
2. High End Product: imported original SCANIA N310UA 6x2/2 city bus chassis, which makes the vehicle much more technologically advanced, ensures the reliability, safety, and comfort of the vehicle. It incorporates EuroⅣ engine, automatic transmission, AMA780 Scania Axle for low entry , drop drive axle, air suspension, hydraulic retarder, disc brake, etc. The technology of chassis is advanced not only in China but also in the world. Original German Hubner electronic control articulation system has the function of overturning protection. Chassis is equipped with an electronic Leveling Valve control system (ELC 3.0), to monitor the ride height of the suspension. This system incorporates many functions including: automatic leveling control providing smooth operation, kneeling operation in either manual, automatic or manual/ automatic activation; total (fast) raising and lowering function.
3. Low Entry: the design of low floor shows human oriented thinking, and makes taking off/ getting on the bus much more convenient especially for senior people, children and the handicapped.
4. Electronic Devices: the chassis is equipped with new CAN system to improve reliability and functionality. This system improves trouble shooting ability and incorporates the integrated body-frame function and provides multi-path transmission system. It is also installed with many other electronic devices, such as station announcement machine, coin machine, IC identifier, multi media display equipment, reverse and door monitor, tachograph and so on.
5. High Reliability: the key components of Scania bus chassis are taken from its excellent chassis of heavy truck. Large numbers of key components are even compatible with those of heavy duty vehicles owing to its modular design, which enables the extraordinary durability, overload capability, high reliability and stability of the chassis. |

- The front and tag suspension consists of two rolling lobe airbags, whereas the rear suspension has four lobe airbags, widely spaced for extra stability.
